Ever felt like Atlas the Titan bearing the weight of the world on your shoulders? Sure you have, we’ve all been there at one point or another. Last year was probably one of the worst years any of us will ever experience in terms of large-scale issues (not those standard personal ones) and for me it was no different. The Hall of The Black Dragon was one of the only positives going for me in 2009 since business yielded more than a few unpaid invoices and an occasional rip-off artist here and there. The money flowed south but I found my stability through writing and of course maintaining this beautiful site. We were lucky to get a few friends on-board, namely Nia Syrah and Niambi Dawn to add a female perspective to our testosterone laced opinions, Beauty and the Eats told us which restaurants were worthy and The Marksman helped build articles for you dating bachelors out there. Sister site SpicyMovieDogs.com has picked up by about 400% (being that I am probably watching movies or in a theater at least 4 times a week), this means more Celebrity based articles to come this year .

2010 is slated to be a bigger year for the Hall, currently we see near 5,000 unique visitors a month with a staying time of about a minute on average. By this time next year I would have hoped to double the visitation or at least lengthen the stay of you visitors who find us here. By far our greatest asset has been Google and the aggregation of keywords through our WordPress blog. The site used to be found by people looking for random women, hell we are still ranked high for queries of “hot Asian women (which is odd since we don’t have many), hot black actresses and Vida Guerra (yes her specifically)”. With the addition of the Dragon Blog, we are now ranked high for queries such as “why do women disrespect men” and “sexy food”. More like this will be on the way as our article archive expands.

One request that has been coming through is for a section dedicated to cool guy celebs. That will be built in a month or two to join our current popular lists such as Hotties of History and Badass of The Month. The forum has been eliminated since it ended up being an easy way to post pics of women versus a community tool but a lot of the popular threads will be converted into hard pages with room for commentary in the upcoming months. The Top 100 has also been taken down due to the lack of interest, which is quite understandable, there are too many of those lists around to keep up so why even go there?  If you have been with us for a bit you will have noticed the huge change in look to the site, a change that has been met with very, very positive feedback. My aim is to make the site as professional and SFW (safe for work) as possible without sacrificing eye-candy and aesthetics – I think we have accomplished that.
