Valentine’s Day is coming boys, and you must be prepared if you do not want to be the butt of your girlfriend’s jokes when she is talking to her friends. Even if she loves you forever, and always appreciates you and your efforts, unfortunately it is the time of the year to take the time to prove how much you love her back.  In the process, you must keep in mind to impress her friends as well, as it is inevitable that their reactions will matter to your girl.  Here are a few tips to make sure you stay in the “perfect boyfriend” category.

1. Money Isn’t Everything.
I’ve told you once before and I think it’s time to reiterate.  Women are the most impressed when it is apparent that you have been thinking of them.  For instance, boyfriend 1 has no idea what to get his girl but he knows she likes chocolate.  He cannot figure it out so he defaults to the corny box of chocolate and dozen red roses routine.  Boyfriend 2 also has no idea what to do and also knows she likes chocolate.  However, he doesn’t have money like that, so he decides to buy his girl the $4 bag of Dove chocolate delights and 2 red roses – one to present to her during the evening and one to pull the petals off of so she can walk on them on her way to the candle lit pasta dinner he cooked especially for her. Now boyfriend 1 thinks since he put in $50 on some expensive flowers and chocolate, he’s good. However, boyfriend 2 actually spent less than $25 but got more points due to the thought he put into making her smile. Listen carefully boys – money does not have to be spent if you put a little thought into it.  It’s a win/win situation – you gain enough points where you are safe for at least a month, and your pockets are still intact.

2. Give Her Gifts at Work.
Understand that women thrive on showing off how good their man is. Why do you think you are forced to meet her friends as early as possible?? It has absolutely nothing to do with you, it’s all about the approval of the friends and the ego stroke she feels when she gets confirmation from her closest pals that she found a good one.  If you are not that thoughtful guy from above and just can’t pull off such a stunt, you can redeem yourself by having gifts sent to her at work. This is a surefire way to have her be the envy of all her peers while feeling like you are the greatest man who ever walked the earth. They will gather around her cubicle all anxious to see what you got her, and even if it’s the simple flowers and chocolate, you will instantly be “sooo sweet” and the “good guy” who “really loves” her.  She will grin from ear to ear when she sees you and all her friends will steer clear of giving her relationship advice for a lengthy amount of time.

3. Ask Her Best Friend
The best advice of how to impress your girl will come from the only person who knows her better than you.  All chicks have a best friend who will be able to tell you exactly what she will and will not want.  The BFF will want to see your girl happy just the same as you do, and therefore, will not spill the beans.  She will guide you with excitement and point you in the perfect direction, and she will allow you to take the credit for the romance move of the year.

Trust me, she is anxious right about now, anticipating what level of love you will show to her on the 14th.  Keep these tips in mind when doing your shopping whether online or in the grocery store.  Don’t get me wrong – I’m not saying that you have to go all out, but honestly, all girls really want is for someone to love them and show it.  This is the perfect opportunity for you to do just that. I mean, afterall, Valentine’s Day is the most romantic day of the year.  Act like that guy for just one day and it will not be forgotten during the following 365.
