Awhile back I did an article about intimidation and getting yourself a red aura vs a green one in everyday life. Lately there has been an explosion of videos on YouTube and other sources showcasing tough guys getting their asses handed to them by their seemingly weaker opponents.

Now the popularity of these videos makes sense being that everyone loves an underdog. Okay to be more specific, everyone loves to see a shit talker get his ass beat. All of these videos have similarities in terms of engagement and retaliation. You have the trash talker who postures for a fight and the victim who strikes back viciously. Add to that the camera person’s callous nonchalance in filming the entire thing and its a lose/lose situation for everyone.

Talking trash has many uses, most of them being to start a fight or to celebrate a victory. More often than not talking trash will infuriate your opponent. This is largely due to the embarrassment of getting called out in front of people along with whatever derogatory things are said to him/her during your trash talk. Once in a while talking trash may get you out of fights with certain  individuals but the vast majority will get infuriated.

If you are going to talk trash, make sure that the person that you’re picking on is afraid of you. Anything else will yield tragically unexpected results. Sun Tzu stressed to “know thy enemy” along with going over battle plans way ahead of engagement. To blindly start running your mouth to people in hopes of them backing down is like a chihuahua barking. Someone is bound to call your bluff and you know what they say, “a barking dog seldom bites”.

Don’t Be a Chihuahua – Be a Doberman Pincher

A doberman paces behind a gate silently, growling silently at times but waiting for you to cross into the property before unleashing hell. While loud annoying dogs deter trespassers because of their noise. When it comes time to stop that invader it’s the silent doberman that takes care of business. You don’t hear him coming until it’s too late, he strikes when you don’t expect it and is relentless in that strike. This is how you should be when it comes to engaging an enemy, do not let them see you coming and lash out immediately if its going to be about that.

Take a look at this video which exemplifies what I have shared with you today. Sometimes it is better to just shut your mouth, put up your dukes and fight.

My favorite part is where the kid delivers the Coup De Grace after yelling out “I ain’t taking this shit no more!” When you run your mouth in front of your neighborhood sans shirt and self-control, you deserve to get your ass beat. Do better people.

The kid with the shirt crushed his enemy, saw them driven before him and he witnessed the lamentation of his woman – King Conan would be proud.
