As we all know exoticizing any culture is pretty wrong, but is it slowing down? Not quite and I have colleagues who do it without thinking that they are being disrespectful in any way. What am I going on about? Well as a dude does this phrase ring familiar to you?

“Man we gotta get out to Brazil, I hear those broads love Americans, are fine as all hell and give up the tail real quick”

Chances are if you aren’t the guy saying it, it’s one of your homeboys. So why is it such a believable statement? I am going to bank on a few other things since the media showcases the lighter products of the country like: Adriana Lima and Gisele Bündchen. But let’s not get it twisted, it isn’t the blonde, skinny Brazillians that our friends are alluding to, it’s the dark, thick, big booty Brazilians.

The stigma stems from both the accounts of past visitors, movies and porn outlets such as “Mike in Brazil” or “Brazilian Facials“. I mean, we all know this yet the only people that seem to give a damn are the ones getting exoticized (ya its my made-up word). Statements like “our country is a lot more than that”, “I’m sick of American men coming here to chase our Morenas” and the like, litter the blogosphere wherever this topic arises.

My stance on it all? I’m clearly neutral… I don’t make the statements nor do I ideally envision travelling to South America to chase some tail. Actually travelling for tail just isn’t my thing, I don’t have a scoreboard to beat. I have however watched the “Mike in Brazil” series, and the women were banging (no pun intended) and racial intolerance never once crossed my mind. It was just goofy to me, I mean its porn, its meant to be funny… so I laughed… a lot.

So what is wrong about this exoticism? Well, to be honest, were I to travel to Brazil right now, the things that would cross my mind to experience is: Food (because, well I love food), White/Latin vs. Black/Latin racism (read an expose on this a few years back), Capoeira (the thing I’d be most interested in), Soccer and ya, sexy young girls sweating American money makers. Don’t be mad at me. Its just like when I think Italy, I think of architecture and Giada de Laurentiis… its my ignorance of having never been there. But suffice to say, you won’t hear me barking them out to others.

People don’t dig stigmas, and when dudes hound their countries with the sole purpose off banging their women… well think about it. When you have websites like Playing Brazil, you gotta stop and say… damn that ain’t right. I mean dude has a site dedicated to giving you a method to get some tail in Brazil. I don’t hate the player, its the game that’s wrong… just realize that speaking Spanglish pick-up lines will only get you so far. On the other hand I keep hearing tales from people I know about sexing it up in Rio (the Boondocks even did an episode on it). Makes me believe there is an air of truth to it all.

Oh as a side… there are lots of fine, thick girls here in the USA… if you ain’t getting it here, what makes you think… nevermind.
