counting money

There are a ton of articles on the web about great side hustles but most of them are absolute rubbish. The articles present lists of small jobs and 2-year degree options that we can do for work but give no clue as to how you get into it, how relevant it is and whether or not the writer knows someone who is actively doing it. As a master of the “side hustle” I often get approached by people wishing to bolster their 9-to-5 with money that doesn’t necessarily involve working 2 jobs. The following list is a compilation of ideas that myself and affluent friends of mine have delved into to get a good amount of extra income coming in. These are things that we do, not things that we hear are good. So if you are serious about bringing in some extra money, consider… [Read more]

How many of you out there spend with your hearts and not your brains? Think about it, are you all about experiencing things now and then figuring out how to pay for it later, or are you a planner who makes sure the money is there with enough left over for bills and life before spending? CreditDonkey.com, a credit card comparison company has done a survey of over 1,100 people and found that 41% of them had less than $500 in their savings account. YOLO (you only live once) right? Yet why does this statistic not surprise me? People will blame every aspect of life but their careless spending in order to not feel foolish about being one of those 41%. I personally know that part of the problem with this statistic is that the people with no savings, investments, and nest eggs are able… [Read more]

kim kardashian and reggie bush

There seems to be a lot of exposés being filmed on the token broke, once-millionaire athlete. The sexy fall from grace that audiences lavish almost as much as the rags to riches story. As more athletes get revealed for their poor financial choices, or bad luck in investing, it seems as if more of us are putting out our opinion on them. And what are our opinions? They were immature, stupid, careless, and greedy. We ponder on how it is that someone can gain so much capital throughout their career but have nothing to show for it in retirement. Many of us with these opinions are not financially educated ourselves but we assume that with that sort of money we would have taken the time to get educated. I cannot sit here and say that I believe this to be true, what I do believe is… [Read more]

couple arguing over money

I was watching the reality show “Sweetie Pies” and observed how victimized Tim felt as everyone in his family, especially his mother and fiancée, complained about his pursuit of money at the sacrifice of quality time with family. The same sentiment was expressed by Chrissy in another reality show “Chrissy & Mr. Jones”. Tim works long hours, seven days per week, in the family restaurant business, while Jim Jones is working hard at re-energizing his rap career by spending hours in the studio. I have seen this very thing way back in the days when I used to watch Jerry Springer, and one person would use this as an excuse for cheating. He or she would complain “You are always working, never spend any time with me!”  On the flip side, I have also heard the reasoning “You never take me anywhere. You don’t do… [Read more]

Alexis Wright in court

We are a modern society with age old laws that serve as a quick fix band-aid for huge wounds. The war on drugs and the continued persecution of prostitutes is an example of this. The vices of sex and drugs has continued to be one of violence and criminal opportunity due to them being illegal. I feel as if the only thing this country learned from prohibition is that the smartest and richest people in the game are the ones who sell people what they want. Recently the latest witch to be burned at the stake of modern prohibition is a Maine, Zumba instructor by the name of Alexis Wright. Charged with over 100 counts of prostitution, Alexis and her clients are being pursued by the Maine court of law. Due to Alexis keeping meticulous records of her clients and the $150,000 made from her side-hustle, the… [Read more]

couple spooning

So how much would you pay to have someone to snuggle with for an hour, probably nothing right? Especially you men out there who – like me find the act of spooning, cuddling and other touchy, touchy, gameplay a bit of a bother (unless there is a chance of sex happening). Many women reading are probably wondering why, well let me explain; for us guys spooning normally means one arm will be going numb from the lack of circulation (being trapped under you) or it means we will be stuck watching a Rom-Com while we “cuddle” ugh! Well apparently a lot of people in this world need human contact; so much so that they are willing to pay a petite little lady by the name of Jaqueline Samuel $60 an hour to “cuddle” with them. Jaqueline’s company is called The Snuggery and it provides an… [Read more]

man and woman with money

Mind Your Business And Tell Nobody! Seriously I know that most people have the urge to tell the world of their new found wealth because of the power and prestige they think will come with it but this is the worst thing that you can do. Imagine what would happen if you were in a world void of water and your family found a tiny oasis only capable of keeping you alive. What do you think would happen if you announced to everyone that you have it? Not only would every person that barely knows you show up to beg for water but they will never believe you once you tell them that you ran out. Eventually after everyone is aware you have it you will be robbed. People are stupid when it comes to money, absolutely stupid. They will never understand why you won’t pick… [Read more]

man reading

When I worked for a small company a number of years back we used to get 15 minute breaks along with our hour’s lunch throughout the day. Those 15 minute breaks could feel like forever if there was nothing to do and as a non-smoker it wasn’t the welcome release that many of my co-workers needed. One thing that became of value to me on those breaks was to use them to get myself out of the work loop that many of my peers were not happy with. Living check to check was never ideal and when you work 2 jobs it begins to feel as if it is all life has prepared for you. What I began to do on my 15 minute break was to read books on Financial Education and starting a business. It opened up the world to me in a… [Read more]
