We’re not only writers; we’re readers and below are some of the highlights of the past few weeks that we wish to share:

Pinching Pennies Is Good for Your Dating Life – Being tightfisted with money is not usually thought of as a desirable characteristic in a date. Sites like eHarmony and publish posts listing ways to detect a cheapskate date — who ostensibly should not be worthy of a second get-together.And yet in the economically uncertain postrecession era, many surveys and studies have shown that being responsible with money — perhaps even to the point that you might be considered cheap — bodes well for your love life. Women, Drop The Pink Dumbbells and Lift Heavy!  – The simple fact is, women should be lifting heavy weights. Yet, fitness magazines show models standing on one leg on top of a BOSU ball and doing tricep kickbacks with 3-pound dumbbells. It has been embedded in women’s minds that to “tone up” we should be using light weights and high repetitions… This style of training promotes muscular endurance which is the ability of the muscles to perform an activity for a prolonged period of time, however, it does not increase lean tissue. In Society, Why Are Mothers Seen As The Problem, & Fathers The Solution? – Because I’ve known plenty of women who grew up with their fathers and still sought after the attention of men, and women who didn’t have their fathers who were virgins until their wedding day.  I’ve known men who grew up with sustainable father figures who grew up to be abusers, and men who didn’t have the presence of a dad, and wanted to ensure that for their own child and be a great husband to their wives. Random Pic of Mrs. Jada Pinkett Smith…

I’ve discovered that patience is not only a virtue but a very attractive, intriguing quality. Those that display eagerness, impatience or control tend to come off as incapable and insecure. These qualities have a tendency to turn people off. But…to be patient, one must be secure, trusting and extremely flexible. In my opinion…those qualities are just down right sexy.Jada Pinkett Smith

23 Signs You’re Secretly An Introvert – Despite the growing conversation around introversion, it remains a frequently misunderstood personality trait. As recently as 2010, the American Psychiatric Association even considered classifying “introverted personality” as a disorder by listing it in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual (DSM-5), a manual used to diagnose mental illness. But more and more introverts are speaking out about what it really means to be a “quiet” type. Not sure if you’re an innie or an outie? See if any of these 23 telltale signs of introversion apply to you. (HUFFPOST)
