Okay, one of these Ketel One commercials came on last night and I found myself nodding in approval at everything being said. The genuine look and feel of the well-to-do boys sharing some spirits, sans metrosexual Ed Hardy shirts. An air of money and the raspy announcer’s voice upping the macho meter just a few notches. Being a vodka man myself, I tend to get thirsty seeing these things and whenever the commercial comes on I immediately crave a vodka/gin martini or a sexy Russian babe with accent. In any event, here are a few of the ads, I really like these and I like the message. There’s nothing like boy’s night out. Can I get an amen? Ketel One – Table Ketel One – Bar Ketel One – Street

After pissing off parents with the Sponge Bob Square Pants ad, Burger King keeps on trucking with that scary King mask and the freak who wears it. This time they take the College Humor route and have the king pranking a sleeping victim. I love this ad and it makes me laugh everytime. The funny part isn’t even about the king, its the great acting by the guy who wakes up, he sells it perfectly and I don’t think it could be done any better. Very nice BK, very nice indeed.

I mean Tony Sinclair put over Tanqueray in a major way and for good reason… Tanqueray is liquid gold. So I am guessing that Dos Equis should win me over into the beer drinker territory… right? How can you not love this dude, he’s the James Bond archetype and anyone who knows the Dragon knows that I am a big Bond guy. The commercials show the old man charming women, rescuing bears from traps, bench pressing Asian chicks and even playing Jai lai lol. I cannot resist putting over kickass ad campaigns and my hat is off to Dos Equis… I am very thirsty and I want to try it. More on the taste test later… check… [Read more]
