For those of you who are not in the know, a LARP is a Live Action Role Player aka a nerd (many are female) who plays out an adventure using props, swords and armor. Yes people do this… This past weekend on my ritual sprint session, a couple friends of mine experienced LARPing for the first time and their reactions were shall I say entertaining? The huge field around which the 5k track ran is normally a place for people who wish to play soccer, walk dogs or attempt the picnic thing. Congratulations to Miss Michigan Rima Fakih for winning the Miss USA pageant and doing so looking like a queen indeed. While some hating ass bloggers and the conservative media are pissed that another Barbie didn’t lay claim to the crown, they have been trying their best to belittle the crowning. There are pictures from an alleged strip pole contest (what’s wrong with that?), semi-racist assaults on her heritage and even mention of her stumble during one of the events. It has been discussed millions of times but as much as it has been made to look like common knowledge, it really isn’t. If you are a drop-dead gorgeous woman who hasn’t gone into modeling, acting or porn, your dating pool by default will be a shallow one. This fact is usually dispelled by women who don’t fit the mold of this with statements such as “you can have ANY guy you want” or “you’re one to complain”. Go to any image section that allows comments (as you have noticed The Hall of The Black Dragon no longer allows commenting on our galleries) and you will find random, anonymous haters spewing their vitriol on the subject’s body. We get it anonymous woman, you don’t look, nor will ever look, anything like the person in the picture so to make yourself feel better you rage post. It’s as clockwork as the assholes who jump on a blog to use the “I’m just playing devil’s advocate” argument whenever they see too many compliments, is it trolling? I’m not sure if it is, but being that you are pretty anonymous online and tend to rifle off the most jacked up drivel, most of which you would never say to people in person, I’m gonna say it is. It should be common knowledge that women tend to hate on each other more than anyone else on the planet. Just go out on a date with a wife/girlfriend/friend and observe the comments she makes (or the looks she gives) to other women, if you are clueless about this. Well I was curious about whatever happened to some of the musical groups of my past and girl band SWV was up on my list today. After doing some sleuthing I found out that one is married, one likes girls, and one is an author! I am as huge fanboi of Giada’s as any warm blooded male is, but… I am finding it difficult to pay attention to what is being made. The cynic in me knows that this ploy by The Food Network is intentional, but does that not take away from her craft? The clothes she wears are sometimes… revealing (I would never suggest that they should dress her like a nun) but it isn’t enough that she is a strikingly beautiful woman, she is built like a brickhouse (for you non-cool folks, it means that she is sexy as all hell). I would like you all to join me in an anti-hater movement. To clarify, let me explain what I mean by “hater” because this word gets used so much it is easy to ignore the true meaning of it. Haters are negative people, they are the ones who tell you not to do something that could potentially help your career, they are the ones who you have to constantly say “I told you so” and they are the ones who find the darkest possibility in any situation. These people endlessly flame on message boards and comments (anonymously) and are an ongoing topic on notable news sites on the status of the internet.  Haters will soon cause the internet to be policed, if you want an example just go to YouTube.com and read the comments on any video.
