I hate Valentine’s Day, and if you aren’t female and in a relationship then chances are you hate it too. To promote health and a strong heart I would urge that everyone that is physically able to do so – take the long way whenever possible. This means parking in the far lot and briskly walking in to work, opting for stairs over an elevator ride and taking the mail to the mailroom yourself. While the norm is to temper the day job during the week and hit the treadmill on the weekend, you will find yourself more energetic and happier when you’ve incorporated more movement into your work life. I’ve been guilty of this several times over until recently when I made a promise to refrain from doing so in the future. The reason I came to this decision is because the act of talking bad on one’s ex is akin to whining and a gentleman does not whine, he deals and overcomes. For what it’s worth my exes haven’t been THAT bad, not enough to warrant discussion beyond how we met and why we split. There are two types of players, one who loves women and another who hates them. Though very similar in their traits, the two are as different as coffee and tea so here at the Hall we refer to them differently. Before you read this, I want it to be clear that this is not a typical blast on dead beat dads. In fact, I am the last woman to talk about dead beat dads. With my experience, I do understand that some men just don’t know how to be a good dad, some men just don’t want to be a dad, and some men want to be but have a crazy baby mama that won’t let them be a good dad.
