There seems to be this misconception that the quieter, more introverted people in society are somehow the nicest. While they may seem polite at face value or super-intelligent and innocent, there are many who are the deepest sexists, racists and homophobes. Now many of you have not known a good amount of nerds in your lifetime, when I say “a good amount” I am speaking of 10+ different people with different personalities. Your experience with nerds may be limited to a trip periodically to GameStop, your college campus and probably the internet. Still this is actually a good gauge being that nerds do vary much; you have your Sci-Fi nerds, your sports geeks, your video game nerds, anime otakus and of course your all-around nerd. Although I have never used this blog to discuss shows and movies (I use another outlet for that), I cannot pass up the opportunity to commend the writers of Entourage for the episode I watched last night. It felt good to see a show that depicted a classic case of a man finally growing the balls to break out of the Dick in a Glass Jar magical spell. Some background (To explain the plight of Eric): Entourage depicts the lives of four men as they carry out their lives in Hollywood in support of Vincent Chase, a young actor who had become a star overnight and brought his friends along with him. I keep the forums open at www.halloftheblackdragon.com/forums for one reason - It is my open bulletin board to the public, and it is a super, fast way for me to post news articles, women or whatever is on my testosterone flooded mind. However, as a whole, I think that site admins (like myself) have lost the love and wont to launch forums. The reason for this goes beyond not having enough traffic, not having the patience to weed out the spammers or not having enough people to moderate. The problem lies with the internet community as a whole. Now as human beings with religion, morality and parenting, we know how to behave and react to things socially. With the launch of the internet, we were given even more social opportunities with the ability to chat and discuss topics with folks who (had you no internet) you would have never met or shared an opinion with.
